Q: What is LEGO KidsFest?

A: This nationally-travelling interactive LEGO extravaganza brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in an activity and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests. Get creative in the construction zones, meet LEGO Master Builders, participate in group builds, and see life-sized models made entirely from LEGO bricks. Q: When will the LEGO KidsFest come to my city?

A: LEGO KidsFest is an annual tour, with stops in different cities each year. We try to reach as many LEGO fans as possible by visiting new locations, and by keeping at least an 18 month window between return visits. If you have not already, please sign up for the LEGO KidsFest newsletter for the latest LEGO KidsFest news.

Q: There are multiple sessions over the weekend. What is the difference between each session?

A: Each of the sessions offers the same interactive activities and play areas. No session is better than another to attend. Multiple sessions are offered to accommodate the most LEGO fans possible.

Q: How are the sessions structured? Do I have to come at the start of my ticketed session? Can I leave early? Will I be able to come back into the event if I leave?

A: Attendees may arrive and leave anytime within their ticketed session; however, their ticket will only allow entrance during the hours of the specified session. After the first session on Saturday and Sunday, the show will be closed and reset for the afternoon session. If you decide to leave LEGO KidsFest, you will be allowed to re-enter, but only during your ticketed session. Hand stamps will be used to verify admission.

Q: Will I still have to wait in line to enter the show even though I’ve purchased my tickets online in advance?

A: Since you have already purchased tickets to LEGO KidsFest, you will not have to wait in line at the box office. The doors to the exhibit hall(s) will open at the beginning of the session and all ticket purchasers will be allowed to enter. Ticket holders arriving before doors open will be held in queue.

Q: Can I bring a camera or video camera to the event?

A: We encourage families to bring cameras and video cameras to the event in order to capture their experience. Members of the news media may access more information here.

Q: Will there be places to eat inside the event?

A: Yes, the venue concessions will be open. Please visit the “Plan Your Day” page for the event you’re interested in for more information.

Q: Are there options for guests with food allergies or other dietary concerns?

A: These options will vary by tour stop and are determined by the concession operator in the building. Please visit the Plan Your Day tab for the tour stop near you to view specific information on concessions.

Q: How accessible is the event for those with special needs?

A: LEGO KidsFest offers an assortment of interactive activities that reach all learning styles and levels of interest. For those who need it, there is a passenger drop off area near the front of the building; consult the venue website for details. Seating areas are located throughout the event space for your convenience. All visitors, including those in wheelchairs and those with special needs, will find the LEGO KidsFest to be a fun, enriching and educational experience. Licensed guide dogs for the blind and service dogs for people with disabilities are welcome. For details on a tour stop’s specific accessibility, please visit the Plan Your Day for that tour stop or contact info@legokidsfest.com.

Q: Can a sign language interpreter be requested for live shows?

A: Yes, but at least one week’s notice is required to secure these services. Please email info@legokidsfest.com to request an interpreter. NOTE: Most activity areas are “free play” and have no auditory component.

Q: May my child attend the event without an adult?

A: For everyone’s safety, children and youth under the age of 18 must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times during their visit.

Q: What happens if I get separated from the rest of my party during the event?

A: If at any time you are separated from the rest of your party, you should report to the “Lost Parent Zone” located near the main entrance of the exhibit hall under the yellow tent. The Lost Parent Zone can be found using the map in the program guide you receive at the event.

Q: Can my child bring LEGO creations he/she has created at home to the LEGO KidsFest?

A: No, please leave all LEGO bricks at home. We do not encourage children to bring homemade creations to the LEGO KidsFest. They could get lost or stolen. There are plenty of LEGO bricks at the event to build with.

Q: Can my child bring his creations he/she has built at the LEGO KidsFest home with us?

A: No, the creations made at the LEGO KidsFest need to be left at the event for the next group of attendees.

Q: What kind of shopping options are available in LEGO KidsFest? 

A: There is a LEGO Retail Store that will have a great selection of LEGO products available including new LEGO sets. There is also a LEGO KidsFest Marketplace that sells LEGO licensed products and LEGO KidsFest souvenirs.

Q: Can I use my LEGO VIP card at LEGO KidsFest? What about a LEGO gift card? 

A: Yes, the LEGO VIP card and LEGO Gift cards are accepted at the LEGO Retail Store at LEGO KidsFest. Please be sure to bring your card with you. These cards are not valid on tickets to LEGO KidsFest or purchases made in the LEGO KidsFest Marketplace.

Q: Can I host my child’s birthday party at LEGO KidsFest? 

A: You are welcome to attend the LEGO KidsFest for birthday celebrations, however you will not be allowed to bring outside food into the event. We recommend that you have cake and open presents before or after the event, at a different location. There is no ticket discount for birthday parties.

Q: Will the event sell out?

A: Based on shows in other cities, each session has a strong possibility of selling out. In order to ensure your admission to the event, purchase your tickets online before the event or at the venue's box office during the event. We do not guarantee that tickets will be available onsite at the Box Office the weekend of the event

Q: I purchased multiple tickets but only received one barcode.

A: The single barcode will admit all tickets purchased in the order. Print the confirmation page from the web, or your confirmation email. Before you print, click “Show Images” to be sure the barcode is visible. The confirmation page and email will have a barcode that will be scanned at the entrance. To avoid your confirmation being stuck in your SPAM or Junk Mail folder, please add donotreply@showclix.com to your address book. If you can pull the barcode up on your smart phone or mobile device, it can be scanned at the entrance.  Please be sure that the barcode is visible on your printed confirmation to expedite entry when you arrive. 

If you did not receive your confirmation email, you can email tickets@legokidsfest.com or call 860-953-4500x145 between 9:00am and 5:00pm (EST) Monday – Friday or you can use your confirmation number to pick up your tickets at the customer service window at the box office the day of the event.

Q: What do I do if not all of the people included in the ticket are arriving at the same time?

A: If any members of your party are entering the session at a different time than the original ticketholder, please ensure that they have a copy of the printout with the barcode on it. When the barcode is scanned for those entering first, it will only mark as used the tickets which are entering at that time. Therefore, the barcode will still contain any leftover tickets. A copy of the barcode will work in order to scan those leftover tickets only. For example, if your barcode is used for 2 child tickets and 2 adult tickets, but only one adult and one child enter with the barcode originally, the barcode will still be able to scan for the remaining one adult and one child ticket with a copy of the confirmation page.

Q: Do I have to buy a ticket for an adult that is not participating in the activities?

A: Yes, anyone entering the event must purchase a ticket. The event is designed to be interactive for attendees of all ages. Adults, children and seniors are encouraged to participate in each of the activities. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Q: Will online ticket sales end?

A: Tickets will be on sale online until a session is sold out, or until the start of that session. If tickets do not sell out in advance, they will be available for purchase at the box office during the event. Box office hours during the event weekend are as follows: Friday 3PM-8PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM-7PM.

Q: When I purchase my tickets online, how will I get them?

A: Print the confirmation page from the web, or your confirmation email. The confirmation page and email will have a barcode that will be scanned at the entrance. Q: Is my ticket good for only one session or the whole weekend?

A: The ticket you purchase online is valid only for the date/time you purchase it for. For example if you choose Saturday at 9:00am – 1:30pm for your tickets, you can arrive any time after 9:00am but you must leave by 1:30pm. At this time the event will close in order to clean and reset the event for the next session. If you would like to attend multiple sessions, you will need a purchased ticket for each session.

Q: What if I want to attend multiple sessions? Is there an all-day pass?

A: Each session is the same price and the same activities are available to participate in. There is no all-day pass for purchase. If you would like to attend multiple sessions, you will need a purchased ticket for each session.

Q: I purchased an Adult ticket, but would like to bring a Child instead.

A: An adult ticket can be used for entry for a child instead, you will not have any issues when entering the event. However, a child/senior ticket can not be used for entry for an adult.

Q: I purchased tickets and can no longer attend, can I get a refund?

A: All purchases are final and refunds are not offered. In the unlikely event a show in cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, show management will make every effort to reschedule the event within the next 12 months. At that time, if a purchaser cannot or does not wish to attend the rescheduled event, the full ticket price (excluding tax and ticketing fees) will be refunded to the customer upon their request.

However, if you would like to switch to a different session we will assist you as best we can, pending session availability. Please call customer service at 860-953-4500x145 between 9:00am and 5:00pm (EST) Monday–Friday or email tickets@legokidsfest.com. If you find someone else who would like to use the tickets, they will be able to use them regardless of the name listed on the tickets, as long as the barcode is valid.

Q: I do not own a printer, how do I get my tickets if I purchased online?

A: If you are unable to print a physical copy of your confirmation but can pull the barcode up on your smart phone or mobile device, it can be scanned at the entrance. 

If you are unable to print your confirmation before the event and cannot pull it up on your mobile device, please bring your order number and photo ID to the customer service station located near the show box office. Q: Do I have to buy a ticket for a baby?

A: No, children two-years-old and younger do not need a ticket. Children three years old through 17 years old need to purchase a child ticket.

Q: Can I purchase tickets over the phone if I do not want to give my information over the internet?

A: Yes, tickets can be purchased by phone at 860-953-4500x145, Monday – Friday, between 9am – 5pm (EST). Tickets will be emailed to you. Please print your confirmation and bring it to the event.

Q: My name is on my confirmation, but I will not be the one attending the event. How do I change the name on the confirmation?

A: The name on the confirmation only refers to the individual that purchased the ticket. As long as the order is valid, the barcode can be scanned to admit the entire group into the LEGO KidsFest.

Q: My ticket says I'll need to bring a photo ID of the ticket purchaser and credit card used to purchase the tickets, What if I don't have those?

A: These cards are not required. Should there be a problem scanning your ticket, a photo ID and/or credit card make it easier to verify an order in our database. However, if you received the tickets as a gift and do not have these forms of identification, we will still be able to verify your tickets.

Q: What do I do if I did not receive the email confirming my order?

A: Your confirmation and account information will be emailed to you from donotreply@showclix.com. Please check your SPAM or junk folder for the emails if you do not see them in your Inbox. You can reprint your tickets and view order details by logging into your account here. Q: I lost my confirmation, can I reprint them?

A: For your convenience, ShowClix securely stores your order details and tickets in an account for you. You can reprint your tickets and view order details by logging into your account here. Q: I've selected the date and time I want to buy tickets for, but when I click "Find Ticket" the web page doesn't load. How can I get tickets?

A: If you are using Internet Explorer to order tickets, you must have version 8 or higher. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer and would like to install the latest version (at no charge), go to this webpage: www.microsoft.com/IE9. Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Google Chrome are other browsers that support the ShowClix webpage. Q: Do you offer a group rate?

A: Group tickets are available to any nonprofit group or organization who is purchasing 25 or more tickets for a single session and can provide proof of their nonprofit status in the form of a 501(c)3 form. They must be purchased at least 3 weeks before an event. Please call 860-953-4500x145 between 9:00am and 5:00pm (EST) Monday – Friday for more information.
