LEGO Education Landmark School Competition
LEGO Education and LIFE Marketing & Events are teaming up to bring “LEGO Landmark,” an educational and interactive classroom competition, to elementary schools this fall as part of the LEGO KidsFest line-up!
The purpose of the competition is to provide students an opportunity to explore and learn about their local, regional, or state history while discovering the value and importance of teamwork, imagination, and creative building.
To participate in the LEGO Education Landmark School Competition you must be a teacher or home educator of students grades K-4. You must be willing to submit an essay about your selected landmark, and, if selected as a competition finalist, build your selected landmark with your students for display during your local LEGO KidsFest event. Judging will be held by popular vote and prizes will be given to first, second, and third place.
To Enter:
- Select a local, regional, or state landmark you would like to study with your class.
- Submit a 500-word essay describing your landmark and its importance to your students and/or community.
Thirty days prior to the each LEGO KidsFest, a review of all submitted essays will be conducted and the top 20 entries will be selected to receive a free classroom set of LEGO bricks to build their LEGO Landmark entry. These 20 classes will construct their selected landmark and bring it to their local LEGO KidsFest for display and judging by popular vote. First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded.
